Quick Question...
Just a quick question to the experienced bloggers...I recently did a post but started and finished it on different days, so it appeared posted before other posts...does that make sense? Any idea if there's a way to change a date once you start it, so it stays in order for journaling purposes? Thanks!

Father's Day Video
This is a quick post, but this is the video that I made for Ben (with the help of my brother Alex and his new computer) for Father's Day. I'll be posting a longer post with lots of pictures later! Enjoy!

A Busy Weekend- Picture Overload!
Logan and I went to the Columbus Zoo on Friday with a couple of friends and their kids. It was Logan's first trip to the zoo and I hadn't been there in years. We had such a good time! There were 10 kids all together and 3 of us moms. They were great though! Logan was a pretty happy camper with all of the attention and sights to see! He enjoyed riding in the stroller, but loved when all of the older girls carried him!
These are the 3 babies in their strollers...They had the best seats!
All of the kids loved the petting zoo...the animals were so good! We're trying to teach Logan how to be soft, but he loves to grab handfuls of fur!
Aren't these two girls the cutest? They were such big helpers too.
The whole gang....it's hard to get everyone to look at the camera!
We went to the fountain and decided to do the boys' hair. They look pretty amused don't they?!
Friday night we went swimming with Grandma and Grandpa. Logan loves loves loves the water. He was one happy little baby!
He decided to swallow some water, but I guess that's how you learn right?! We had to laugh at this little face.
Logan also got a new little pool for our yard. It was so cute because we had the water warm, but then the little fountain was hooked up to the hose so it was cold water! It kept taking his breath away, but he loved it!

You can tell that we don't have a lot to do on a Sunday afternoon, huh?!

Is this an ornery face or what!? Logan decided to clean out our cupboards for us.
We celebrated Ben's birthday on Father's Day. My parents got him a backpack for Logan. It was so nice! We will use it a lot! Especially on our upcoming trip to Alaska. Thanks mom and dad!
Ben's mom was so good and sent a June package for our anniversary, Ben's birthday and Father's Day. In the package was a Willow Tree figuring of a dad and a little boy...makes me melt. We love it.
Logan was a tired little boy when the festivities were over. Dinner was delicious...we had Hawaiian Haystacks. We watched Logan swim in his pool and ate some birthday cake. We also watched the DVDs that Alex and I made for Ben and Dad. It was such a fun day. That's how Sundays should be!
I took Ben on a surprise date night to Dave and Busters in Columbus on Monday to celebrate his birthday. Mom, Dad and Alex watched Logan. We had such a fun time. It was nice to just get away and chat. We played games after dinner. It was kind of amusing because I told my mom we wouldn't be back until around 10:30 or 11:00. We were back at their house playing with Logan by 9. :) Just can't help but love the little guy.
This is a video of Logan playing and then waving bye bye. Warning: The video is a little long and unless you're me, you may not understand why I think this is just so cute.

Random Happenings with the Heemeyer's!
One of the 1st lessons learned...don't let Daddy feed Logan bites of scrambled eggs and then give him a bottle right afterwards. Not a pretty picture.
Logan is eating a lot of solid foods now. He has 8 teeth and knows how to use them! You experienced moms out there are going to have to fill me in on what babies this age are supposed to be eating! I have fallen behind on the "What to Expect the 1st Year" book and am just doing trial and error with poor Logan! He eats pretty much anything... lots of fruits and veggies! He also loves Red Lobster's garlic rolls!
As most of you know, I am a huge Mexican food lover! We go to a little place here in town and always get their queso dip...I know that babies aren't supposed to have whole milk and dairy products yet, so before I hear the lectures, it was only a little taste! We were cracking up at him and were lucky enough to have our camera.
Ben will appreciate me for this one, but this was too cute not to snap a picture. They love to snuggle with the soft blankets that Grandma Jeanne has made! Speaking of Grandma Jeanne...take a look at this picture!
Yes, this is my little boy with the blankets sewn by Grandma Jeanne. I know that there are even more than this, but they were in the laundry when I was thinking about taking this picture! Isn't this amazing?! If you ever want an example of a loving, service oriented woman, look to Jeanne Heemeyer. She has sent package after package with homemade blankets and other fun goodies...often edible:) We love Grandma Jeanne and are thankful for her homemaking skills!
My good friend Emmy graduated from college this last week and we stopped by her graduation party. It was fun to see some old friends and catch up on life! Logan was pretty good, but he had his moments :)
This is Logan and Katie Vensil...what a face!
These are just a couple of cute snapshots. Please ignore the drool on my shoulder... glamorous life of a mom. What a cute boy though, huh?
We're working on waving bye bye...he almost has it down! This afternoon when I left for work he waved with both hands. It was so cute!
We're in love with this boy and are so happy to have him in our family!
Also, Happy 31st Birthday to Ben today!! We will be celebrating later this weekend, so that will be another post. Love you old man!

4 Years!

Ben and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on June 2nd. I shouldn't really say celebrated because it fell on a Wednesday and we both worked! Hopefully we'll do something fun one of these weekends.
It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since these two skinny people got married in the Portland temple. We have nothing but great memories of that special day and that single decision has made such a difference in our lives!
I really am so grateful that I married such a good man. He cares about the important things in life and doesn't worry about the little things. He cares about God, family, laughter and working hard. Honestly, what else really matters?
The picture below was taken the day that he proposed at Zion's National Park. We hiked the scariest mountain called Angel's Landing...Ben has persuaded me to have somewhat of an adventurous side and will push me out of my comfort zone a little at times. I love him for that. (Hopefully he won't read this blog...)This picture was taken at the Oregon Coast while visiting Ben's family. It's one of our favorite places to be.
In the 4 years we've been married, we've both graduated college, moved twice (including cross country), bought a house, started and finished several jobs, and most importantly started an eternal family. Even though life gets hectic and at times a little more serious, we both know that we're each others best friends. I look back on our dating days and we had a lot of fun and traveled a lot of places, but nothing is better than watching Ben be such a great dad. He works hard for us and Logan and I love him for it.
Happy 4th Anniversary!

A Busy Week
My mom's dad, Grandpa Jack Warner passed away on Thursday, May 27th around 6pm. Grandpa was a great grandpa and we are grateful that he is in a better place and is no longer suffering. He loved Logan and I am so grateful that they got to meet each other in this life! They would always study each other and they brightened each other's days.We had quite the week filled with family time. On Saturday we spent the day in Columbus visiting with Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Ron. We went shopping to find Grandma a dress for the funeral. Elizabeth is Grandma's half sister. They live in Georgia and were able to come spend time with Grandma and attend the funeral. It was so fun to see them!
Tuesday was Grandpa's funeral. It was a nice service and many memories were shared. We will miss him and we are all still having a hard time, but it is comforting to know that we will see him again.
While we were visiting on Saturday, Logan got a lot of attention and a lot of fun treats! Grandma Warner fed him his first popsicle....
Can you tell he loved it!? Then it was time for a nap...Sunday we visited with dad's side of the family who were camping at Dillon and we enjoyed our day with them.On Monday, the Warner side came to Zanesville and we had a delicious lunch and relaxed the rest of the day. Logan has learned to walk while holding onto things, so we bought him a push toy and he loves it!! I have a couple of other videos of him walking, but they are too large to post...If anyone knows a way to post videos that are over 100 MB, please let me know!!Tuesday was Grandpa's funeral. It was a nice service and many memories were shared. We will miss him and we are all still having a hard time, but it is comforting to know that we will see him again.
